All are Welcome!
No Exceptions
We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are members of The Episcopal Church in the United States, as constituent members of the Anglican Communion, we are descendants of and partners with the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church, and are part of the third largest group of Christians in the world. In Minnesota, we are part of the Episcopal Church of Minnesota.
We worship together at 9:30 am every Sunday morning. You are invited to join us and learn more about this faithful, loving community dedicated to serving God and our neighbors.
"If it's not about love, it's not about God!"
Bishop Michael Curry
We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.
The mission of the church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism (p. 855), is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” As part of that mission, we’re following Jesus into loving, liberating and life-giving relationship with God, with each other and with the earth as the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement. We seek every day to love God with our whole heart, mind and soul, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-40).
Join us for a healing service on the first Wednesday of every month in the sanctuary at St. John's.
This service is not livestreamed and takes place in person only.
On the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm, we invite you to join us at The Wine Cafe (301 N. Riverfront) for "Theology Uncorked," a contemporary theology conversation. A table will be reserved in the back room.
On the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 pm, the Episcopal Church Women meet at the Olive Garden (1880 Adams St.). All are welcome.
On Wednesday evenings, May through October at 7:00 pm, join us at Good Courage Farm (21161 York Road, Hutchinson). We share pie made with fruit from the farm and connect with neighbors and new friends. We then move into the barn or Silo Chapel for a simple sung service. The chapel is not ADA accessible, but the barn has a level concrete floor. Children are welcome!
